Our Volunteer Program
WFC welcomes interested individuals who are willing to dedicate their time in providing relevant skills to our local team. Aligning ourselves with our mission of providing clean water, hygiene and literacy education to rural Cambodian families, improving health and helping to break the cycle of poverty, WFC employs a skilled staff to carry out these tasks. Our team includes a lab technician who does water quality testing, a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer responsible for on-going monitoring of BSF filters, data analysis and reporting, a Finance/Administrator, and biosand filter builders and installers.
WFC strives for excellence, providing the best service to our beneficiaries with integrity and respect. We are committed to and accountable for the work we do, making sure that the needs of our beneficiaries are our top priority. The minimum commitment for a volunteer is three weeks up to a maximum of three months. Our offices and lab are based in Siem Reap, about 3KM from city center. Our volunteers have the opportunity to learn about the project, get involved with activities within the organization and spend time in local villages. We are looking for a mutually beneficial experience. Other areas that could help us out are marketing, computer skills, experience with concrete, and finance.
WFC is a non-governmental organization registered with the Ministry of Interior. It is guided by Cambodian laws and honors and respects the Cambodian culture and its religion. We therefore expect the same from volunteers associated with WFC. Our major funding is from Rotary International and The Singapore International Foundation.
